About the Role Quest Employment are recruiting experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers for a leading manufacturer of sweet and cereal-based products based in Bretton, Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing business operating from a purpose-built site with real prospects for long-term progression.
The site operates 24/7, therefore flexibility and occasional weekend work may be required. Candidates must be reliable, adaptable, and available for an immediate start. A basic to good standard of English (spoken, written, and reading) is essential.
Alongside forklift operation, you may be required to support other warehouse tasks including packing, sorting, picking, dispatch, labelling, boxing and palletising .
Salary Breakdown Base rate: £13.83 per hour

Shift allowance (2-shift rotation): + £1.04 = £14.87 per hour

Overtime (time and a half over 40 hours): £20.75 per hour

Shift allowance paid on base hours only

Responsibilities Operating a Counterbalance Forklift in warehouse and yard areas

Loading and unloading lorries and containers

Scanning, checking, labelling and loading products

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Working towards daily productivity targets

Using internal software/ERP systems for stock movements

Adhering to health & safety, food safety, KPIs, and company SOPs

Working Environment Warm conditions in summer months

Machine noise and vibration (PPE provided)

Potentially dusty environment

Safety boots required; all other PPE provided

Required Skills & Experience Valid in-date Counterbalance FLT license (RTITB or ITSSAR essential)

UK driving license

Previous FLT experience within a racked warehouse environment

Experience using ERP/stock systems

Good level of English language

Strong communication skills and confidence to ask questions or raise issues

Ability to lift, push, pull and move items up to 15kg

Manual dexterity and good attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic computer literacy (scanners/PC)

Flexi/Bendi license desirable (training available for the right candidate)
