The Role
The school is seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic, and dedicated Food Technology Teacher with a passion for the subject and the ability to engage and inspire students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, ensuring that all students make excellent progress and develop a love for Food Technology.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Assessing, tracking, and recording pupil progress to inform teaching and support individual learning needs. Creating a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking. Preparing students for GCSE examinations and supporting them in achieving their academic potential. Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives within Technology. Participating in school events, trips, and enrichment activities that enhance students’ understanding of Food Technology and the wider world. Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to promote positive attitudes to learning and achievement.This role is suitable for both Experienced Teachers and ECTs with full support and mentoring provided by the Head of Department and a strong subject team. You will join a friendly and collaborative department that strives to ensure all students enjoy learning and exceed expectations.
