Hours: MondayFriday, 8:30 17:30 (some evenings and occasional weekends required for events and tastings)

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience and existing client portfolio

The Opportunity
Were growing our food portfolio and seeking a commercially minded, relationship-driven Food Sales Account Manager to accelerate sales across our existing accounts and secure new customers, focusing on fine-dining and premium restaurants .
Representing Maltby&Greek in the UK market, developing partnerships, identifying and landing growth opportunities, hosting tastings, and delivering exceptional service to our valued clients.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in a similar food distribution business supplying European or Mediterranean food into fine dining, premium restaurants, and hospitality customers.

What Youll Do
Manage and grow a portfolio of existing restaurant customers, ensuring consistent growth and satisfaction.
Develop new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and client acquisition.
Achieve and exceed sales, margin, and growth targets.
Act as a confident brand ambassador at tastings, trade shows, and industry events.
Work alongside the current team across food and drinks to grow key accounts.
Collaborative with Marketing, Logistics, Finance, and Suppliers/Producers.
Maintain accurate CRM records, including customer data, pricing, forecasts, and sales activity
Coordinate product tastings, sample requests, and promotional campaigns.
Support Customer Services with orders, logistics, and stock queries when required.
Provide market insight and customer feedback to support product development and commercial strategy

About You
As a Food Sales Account Manager youll succeed in this role if youre commercially driven, highly organised and passionate about premium food and wine sales.
Youll have:
Proven food sales experience to fine dining, premium restaurants, and hospitality customers.
Strong commercial acumen: comfortable with pricing, margin, forecasting, and P&L discussions.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Confidence hosting tastings and engaging customers in storytelling and brand values.
Strong IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
Attention to detail, prioritisation skills, and a proactive attitude.
Full UK Driving licence
Bonus points if you have:
Knowledge of Greek or Mediterranean cuisine.
Interest in premium artisan foods and sustainable sourcing.
