✛ Overview ✛


HYTE is retained by a specialist advanced engineering consultancy to identify an experience Fluid & Thermal Analysis Engineer to provide technical analysis and formal sign-off on a contract basis.


The role is engaged as and when required, supporting a pipeline of technically demanding projects rather than a continuous full-time workload. The Engineer will act as a trusted technical authority, providing independent validation, analysis depth, and confidence across fluid dynamics and thermal performance.


The position suits a highly experience engineer who is comfortable operating autonomously, engaging at critical project milestones, and standing behind their technical judgement.


✛ Key Responsibilities ✛


  • Provide fluid dynamics and thermal analysis to support advanced engineering programmes.
  • Perform and sign off CFD, thermal modelling, and associated calculations as required.
  • Act as an independent technical authority for design verification and validation.
  • Review internal and third-party analysis, challenging assumptions where appropriate.
  • Support engineering decision-making at key design gates and review stages.
  • Interface directly with senior engineering leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure analysis outputs are aligned with real-world operating conditions and system constraints.


✛ Candidate Profile ✛


  • Highly experience engineer specialising in fluid mechanics and thermal analysis.
  • Background is gas turbines strongly preferred; experience in turbo-machinery, propulsion, or high-energy systems advantageous.
  • Proven capability delivering analysis and sign-off in safety-critical or performance-critical environments.
  • Comfortable operating as a contractor, with intermittent but responsive availability.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage pragmatically with design teams.
  • Able to communicate complex technical findings clearly to non-specialist stakeholders.
