Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer

My Client, a market leading Civil Engineering Consultancy with offices based across the South East, is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their team in London.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an innovative team who specialise in civil and structural engineering for both public and private sector clients.  With a wide portfolio of projects you will have the chance to design flood risk and drainage solutions for Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Healthcare, Renewables and Education Sectors for both public and private sector clients.

As a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer you will be required to complete varied technical work including;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1,2 and 3.

-Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.

-SuDS Strategies.

-Drainage, attenuation and SuDS design using infodrainage and causeway flow.

-Design of sustainable drainage solutions for residential, commercial, healthcare, retail and educational projects.

-Client meetings to discuss project progress, on occasion.

-Exposure to hydraulic modelling.

-Support team members with designs.

It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology or Environmental Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and design using infodrainage or causeway or AutoCAD.

It is essential for applicants to have hydraulic modelling experience using flood modeller or Tuflow.
