growing and looking for an inspiring SEN Teacher to lead by
example, delivering purposeful learning that helps every pupil
As an SEN Teacher, you
will be at the heart of your class team — guiding academic growth,
and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with Formal or Semi-Formal
Building positive
relationships with pupils and families will be key as you support
every child’s journey.
Plan thoroughly to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons
Foster positive relationships with pupils and maintain strong communication with parents and carers
Use assessment tools effectively to track pupil progress and outcomes
Challenge pupils to reach their full potential
Share responsibility for pupil wellbeing, safety, and behaviour management
Meet the needs outlined in pupils’ Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Develop expertise in teaching pupils with ASD, sharing best practice
Maintain accurate records following school policies
Balance professional dedication with a healthy work-life balance
GCSE C/4 or above in English and Maths
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or working towards
Commitment to high standards of teaching and care
Passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs and autism
Acorn Park is a school for 160
pupils, who all have a primary diagnosis of Autism. pupils are on the Semi-Formal Pathway which is highly personalised
from their EHCP. We have a mixture of Day and Residential pupils as
we have 8 co-located pupil’s homes on our 30 Acre site in rural
