Job Title: Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Bedford and surrounding villages
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a flexible role within primary education? We are currently seeking Primary HLTAs to provide short-term and day-to-day support across a range of primary schools in Bedford and the surrounding villages.

This is a fantastic opportunity to continue supporting pupils' learning and development while enjoying the variety and flexibility of working across different school settings, without the long-term commitment of a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher

Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups

Maintain a positive, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment

Support pupils' academic progress, wellbeing, and engagement

Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups, and classroom settings

Uphold high standards of behaviour, professionalism, and safeguarding

Key Requirements:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (essential)

Experience working within UK primary schools

Confidence supporting learning across the primary age range

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A flexible, professional, and proactive approach

An understanding of SEND and the ability to adapt support as required
