Rugby Up to £55,000 Company Van Fuel Card Mon–Fri Early starts c7am One day a week, site visit Excellent benefits We're recruiting for a Fleet Engineer to support the maintenance, reliability and compliance of a specialist rail track maintenance fleet.

This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on engineering background who wants to move into a planning, scheduling and compliance-based engineering role with real responsibility and autonomy.

You'll be based at our Warwickshire head office, with one day per week visiting machines and crews across the UK.

What You'll Be Doing • Reviewing overnight operations logs and preparing for the 8 am engineering call • Logging, assessing and scheduling maintenance issues • Planning workshop time, outages and major repairs • Supporting reliability improvements and maintenance optimisation • Visiting one machine per week to build rapport with crews and supervisors • Supporting engineering change controls and dispensations • Managing your own diary – no micromanagement • Light on-call remote phone support rota (1 week in 5, fully supported & calls are rarely needed) What You'll Need • Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) OR strong hands-on engineering experience • Background in rail, rolling stock, fleet engineering or similar heavy engineering • Confident communicator able to work with crews and senior managers • Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills • Resilience and a proactive, self-motivated approach What You'll Get • Up to £55,000 salary • Company van fuel card • 26 days holiday xehkeey 8 bank holidays • Company pension (6% employer / 5% employee) • Occasional overnight stays covered meal allowance • Healthcare cash plan • Employee wellbeing programme • Life assurance • Eye care vouchers • Long service award • Season ticket loan If you are from a rail background and have moved into a planning and optimisation role, or are ready to take that next step and move off the tools, send your CV through the link, and we will call you for a chat about this role and your transferable skills and interview availability.
