Job Title: Security Systems Estimator (Domestic & Small Commercial)

Location: London and surrounding areas
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Estimator with strong technical knowledge of domestic systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control (fire systems knowledge desirable). This is an office-based role focused on surveying, estimating, and technical support rather than hands-on installation.

This position offers a clear progression path into a senior or management role within the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct site surveys and prepare accurate quotations for domestic and small commercial security systems

* Design system solutions for alarms, CCTV, and access control based on client requirements

* Provide technical support to the office team and engineers, particularly in the absence of senior staff

* Liaise with clients to understand requirements and provide professional recommendations

* Work closely with engineers to ensure smooth project handovers

* In time, take on responsibility for overseeing and managing engineering teams

Requirements

* Strong knowledge of domestic security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control)

* Previous experience in estimating, surveying, or designing security systems

* Basic knowledge of fire systems (desirable)

* Ability to price and scope small commercial projects

* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

* Full UK driving license
