Fire & Security Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field Service team. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive calls, and additional small works while maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm equipment. Document and maintain records in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure service tests and inspections meet relevant standards and codes, including fault‑finding techniques. Participate in company‑initiated training to keep technical knowledge up to date. Follow Health and Safety legislation and maintain high safety standards. Perform accident reporting and RAMS duties as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role, carrying out PPM, reactive calls, and small works in the fire and security systems industry. Familiarity with servicing, testing, inspection, and repair of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
