Fire & Security EngineerLocation: South Yorkshire (Field Based)Salary: £32,000 £40,000 per annum + Door to Door TravelOverviewWe are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer to join our growing team covering South Yorkshire and surrounding areas. Working closely with and reporting directly to the Service Manager, the role will primarily involve day-to-day service calls, as well as system commissioning when required.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to develop their skills within a supportive environment where manufacturer training and professional development are encouraged.Key ResponsibilitiesService and commissioning of security systems (training provided where required)Attending reactive and scheduled service fault calls, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visitsCarrying out small works and installation tasks when requiredWorking with IP-based systems, requiring strong IP and IT proficiencyCommissioning and servicing CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systemsSupporting installation projects and commissioning activities where requiredLiaising with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders during project worksCollating commissioning information and assisting with Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentationAssisting colleagues and supporting other engineers with technical site issues when necessaryEnsuring full compliance with Health & Safety policies at all timesParticipating in the on-call rotaSkills & ExperienceEssentialExperience servicing and commissioning security systemsStrong IP networking and IT knowledgeExperience with CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systemsAbility to work independently and manage service calls effectivelyCSCS, ECS or equivalent certificationDesirableExperience with IP networksExperience with enterprise-level access control systemsExperience with public space CCTVFire system knowledge or experienceIPAF licenceWorking HoursStandard hours: 08:30 17:00 Monday to FridayMinimum 40 hours per weekFlexibility required between 06:30 and 18:30Overtime paid for hours worked above 40 per weekOccasional overnight stays may be required due to the geographical area coveredBenefitsCompetitive salary (£32,000 £40,000 depending on experience)Door-to-door travel payCompany van provided (business and private use)Fuel card provided (private mileage charged at 18ppm)Laptop, mobile phone and specialist equipment suppliedHome-based role with site attendance as required25 days holiday plus bank holidaysAuto-enrolment pension schemeTraining and development, including manufacturer and Health & Safety training6-month probation period, followed by annual performance reviewSalary review after 12 months subject to successful probationJBRP1_UKTJ
