Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience servicing and maintaining a wide range of electronic fire and security systems across commercial, industrial, and domestic sites.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nAs a Fire & Security Engineer, your key duties will include:\n\n * \n\n Routine maintenance and corrective call-out work on electronic fire & security systems across Merseyside, North Wales & Cheshire and surrounding areas.\n\n * \n\n Servicing and maintaining:\n\n * \n\n Security/Intruder Alarm Systems (Galaxy), with exposure to multiple system types such as Texecom and Scantronic\n\n * \n\n CCTV systems (Analogue and IP)\n\n * \n\n Fire Alarm Systems (Advanced/Kentec), ideally with experience across Ziton, Menvier, C-Tec\n\n * \n\n Access Control Systems (Paxton)\n\n * \n\n Fault-finding and/or installation of the above systems (advantageous)\n\nRequirements\n\nTo be successful in this Fire & Security Engineer role, you will need:\n\n * \n\n Minimum 2 years’ relevant industry experience\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence\n\n * \n\n A positive attitude and strong willingness to learn\n\n * \n\n Excellent attendance record\n\n * \n\n Good computer literacy (use of tablets and laptops daily)\n\n * \n\n Willingness to undertake standard industry security screening\n\nSalary & Pay Structure\n\n * \n\n Basic salary: £28,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)\n\n * \n\n Paid travel: All travel is paid door to door at the standard hourly rate\n\n * \n\n Unplanned overtime: All hours worked beyond 40 per week paid at normal hourly rate\n\n * \n\n On-call standby:\n\n * \n\n Weekdays – 3 hours at time-and-a-quarter\n\n * \n\n Weekends – 5 hours at time-and-one-half\n\n * \n\n Planned overtime (weekends/out-of-hours): Paid at time-and-a-half or double- time\n\nBenefits\n\n * \n\n Company vehicle (private mileage available if required)\n\n * \n\n Pension scheme\n\n * \n\n Company laptop, tablet, mobile phone & specialist tools\n\n * \n\n 20 days annual leave + bank holidays (increases after 3 years)\n\n * \n\n Excellent long-term career prospects with a company operating for over 40 years\n\nIf you are a dedicated Fire & Security Engineer looking for a secure role with strong earning potential and genuine progression, we would love to hear from you
