Role Overview:
EHS International is seeking a Fire Engineer on behalf of our client for an exciting multi-sector project in Belfast. This role is well-suited for Health & Safety professionals with a strong understanding of fire certification, planning, or emergency planning in construction and property development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop fire strategies to support planning applications for residential, commercial and mixed-use projects
Conduct reviews of fire risk, occupant safety and design compliance
Provide expert advice on fire certifications and regulatory approvals
Ensure all designs address evacuation routes, means of escape, and fire service access
Liaise with developers, consultants and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
Proven H&S experience with fire safety responsibilities in a built environment setting
Familiarity with NI Building Regulations and relevant fire codes
Ability to prepare or interpret fire safety strategies for complex developments
Knowledge of planning processes, technical documentation and safety compliance
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
