Fire Extinguisher Service Technician - Covering South East - RG/SL/London surrounds\n\nAre you passionate about fire safety and protection? Morgan Fire Protection specialises in the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance for fire detection systems and portable extinguishers. While our operational resources are primarily based around London, we proudly offer coverage through our reactive delivery model.\n\nBasic Salary - upto £27,000 per annum plus commission on all completed works OTE upto £40,000\n\nOvertime & Paid Time \n\nPension, Life Assurance & much more. - Please see our generous remuneration packages below\n\nMorgan Fire Protection's Fire Extinguisher Service Technicians\n\nCarry out the servicing and maintenance of Portable fire extinguishers.
All equipment will be provided to allow high standards of service, installation and maintenance of Portable fire extinguishers in line with the Current British Standard Guidelines.\n\nInstall, Service & Maintain Portable Fire Extinguishers\nWork in line with current British standards and customer requirements.\nPlan and complete call visits within your designated region, ensuring maximum efficiency and best use of resources.\nBuild professional and effective relationships with a wide client base.\nBe accountable for ensuring effective area planning to maximise travel time and time on customer premises.\nCarry out scheduled & reactive maintenance in a timely, efficient & cost-effective manner.\nEffectively communicate with our customers to ensure a good understanding of system/equipment status.\nLiaise with Service Administrators to ensure the needs of our customers are met.\nBe responsible for the management & security of vehicle stock, tools & equipment.\nCarry out full surveys of customer sites to assess for fire equipment and signage\nApproach all training positively & professionally complete all duties.\nTravel and some stopovers are expected during the training period and busier months.Requirements\n\nWho We're Looking For\n\nAs well as having all the usual attributes of a great Morgan Fire Protection employee, such as; a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, well presented and professional at all times, ability to work alone and as part of a team..... For this specific opportunity, we are looking for candidates who offer:\n\nExperience in fire extinguisher servicing, hold a qualification to prove competence and have good knowledge BS5306 parts 3 and 8.\nTechnical background in the Mechanical Fire industry.\nExperience of front-line customer service.\nPrevious experience of maintaining fire extinguishers is essential.\nQualified to BAFE / FETA or equivalent, and ongoing refresher training every three years with certificated evidence.\nAbility to work unsupervised with the capability to problem solve.\nFlexibility to travel for work and training when required\nExperience in other Mechanical Fire Systems would be advantageous.\nMust be computer literate and be conversant with email, Word, Excel and be able to work with a PDA/iPad/smartphone.\nMust have a basic knowledge of maths and be able to calculate fire ratings. \nMust be able to create quotes and recommendations to send to the customer.
