We are currently partnered with one of the world's leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancies, as they look to add a Fire Engineer to their divisions throughout the UK, with locations including Glasgow, Bristol, Leeds, Epsom, London, Derby and beyond.\n\nYou will be joining this consultancy's Building Design Practice are looking to appoint a Fire Engineer who is looking to further develop their career within a forward-thinking multi sector practice. This opportunity will involve working as part of a practice of Design professionals delivering fire engineering design solutions to clients across a wide variety of sectors, including Cities & Development, Commercial, Energy, Residential and Transportation.\n\nAs a Fire Engineer, you will take responsibility for your own projects but also work collaboratively with other senior team members to develop the team and strengthen technical capability.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nWork in a range of sectors from residential buildings through to rail transportation or new energy facilities.\nService projects from inception through to delivery in support of fire safety standards.\nSupport the delivery of project work within time and cost budgets.\nKeep up to date with regulations and legislation.\nSupport the development of fire strategies.\nCarry out site visits.\nAssess fire related risks in projects and working collaboratively to mitigate where possible.\nReview and comment on the quality of fire safety related installations.\nUndertake tenders for new work.\nPrepare reports, take part in design team meetings, and liaise with client representatives as required \n\nRequirements:\n\nEngineering degree, preferably fire engineering or alternatively a post graduate qualification in fire engineering (Applicants with different backgrounds also considered).\nExperience working with a range of fire standards including BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992,\nEN45545 would be beneficial.\nFire modelling experience will be beneficial.\nExperience outside of the building sector would be advantageous.\nAble to work towards chartered fire engineer status.\nA flexible approach to the working environment.\nWillingness to travel will be a positive advantage.\nGood commercial awareness.\nCustomer focused.\nAbility to collate information and have a clear and structured approach to report writing. \n\nCompany benefits include private medical insurance, a work from anywhere policy, bespoke benefits portal, car allowance, flexible working, employee assistance programme, as well as a double matched pension contribution up to 10%.\n\nThis is a unique opportunity that is not to be missed.
