Fire & Security Systems Service Engineer
We are currently recruiting an experienced Fire & Security Systems Service Engineer to join our growing London-based engineering team. This role involves servicing, fault diagnosis, and maintenance of fire alarm and electronic security systems across residential and commercial sites.
The Fire & Security Systems Service Engineer position is field-based and suited to a competent, organised individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and compliance. As a Fire & Security Systems Service Engineer, you will be trusted to work independently while representing the company professionally on site.
Role Responsibilities – Fire & Security Systems Service Engineer
*
Service and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839-1
*
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive callouts
*
Fault-find and repair fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and intercom systems
*
Complete service reports, certificates, and compliance documentation
*
Liaise professionally with clients, managing agents, and site contacts
*
Identify defects, non-compliances, and additional works where applicable
What We Are Looking For – Fire & Security Systems Service Engineer
*
Proven experience as a Fire & Security Systems Service Engineer
*
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across fire and security systems
*
Knowledge of British Standards, particularly BS 5839-1
*
Experience working independently in residential and commercial environments
*
Good written and verbal communication skills
*
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
