Our client is a national provider of high-quality fire and security solutions, delivering everything from small domestic installations to large-scale commercial projects. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join their team in Leeds, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients and systems.
The Role
As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of a wide range of systems, ensuring excellent service delivery and high first-time fix rates.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, service, and maintain Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Alarm systems.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive works.
* Liaise effectively with Admin, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure efficient scheduling.
* Upload certificates, documentation, photos, and job notes via the job management system.
* Maintain van stock, tools, and vehicle condition to a high standard.
* Participate in the on-call rota and occasionally provide remote technical support.
* Identify repeat faults or design issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience with Intruder, CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Alarm systems.
* Strong fault-finding ability and a customer-focused approach.
* Good communication skills and reliable timekeeping.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Ability to pass NSI Gold standard vetting.
* Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check (due to work in schools, care homes, and hospitals).
What Our Client Offers
* Salary of £33,000 – £40,000 per annum, before overtime and call-outs.
* Monday to Friday working pattern (40 hours per week).
* Overtime available at enhanced rates.
