Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer Opportunity\n\nWe are working with a well-established fire and security systems specialist who is looking to recruit a highly experienced Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer to support projects across Liverpool and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking progression, stability, and long-term career development.\n\nFire and Security Commissioning Engineer – The Role\n\nAs a Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning fire alarm systems across a range of commercial and complex environments. The role is strongly focused on fire systems, with emphasis on quality, compliance, and technical excellence.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n * Commissioning fire alarm systems to current British Standards\n\n * Working with addressable fire alarm systems (Gent but not essential)\n\n * Fault finding, testing, and final sign-off of commissioned systems\n\n * Liaising with project managers, engineers, and end users\n\n * Ensuring all documentation and compliance paperwork is completed accurately\n\nFire and Security Commissioning Engineer – Requirements\n\nTo be successful as a Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer, you will need:\n\n * 8 years’ or more experience within the fire and security industry\n\n * Strong commissioning experience on fire alarm systems\n\n * Gent system training (desirable but not essential)\n\n * Excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail\n\n * A proactive and professional approach to work\n\nFire and Security Commissioning Engineer – Salary & Benefits\n\nThe client offers an excellent package for the right Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer, including:\n\n * Salary up to £46,000, depending on experience\n\n * Company van with personal use\n\n * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays\n\n * Private pension scheme\n\n * Clear progression pathway into a Project Lead Engineer role\n\n * Ongoing training and development\n\n * Company events and additional benefits\n\nLocation\n\n * Liverpool and regional travel as required\n\nThis role would suit an experienced Fire and Security Commissioning Engineer looking to take the next step in their career with a company that genuinely invests in its people
