Fire & Security Service Engineer - Birmingham (Field‑Based)

Base Salary: £30,000-£40,000
OTE: Significantly Higher

A national technical services provider is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to support customers across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. This field‑based role offers strong earning potential, ongoing training, and the chance to work with a wide variety of commercial and public‑sector clients.

Role Overview

You will deliver maintenance, compliance testing, fault‑finding and reactive support across a range of fire and electronic security systems. The role is ideal for a multi‑skilled engineer with strong diagnostic ability and a customer‑focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Planned preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems to UK standards
Servicing and testing of emergency lighting
Diagnosis and maintenance of intruder alarm systems
Servicing, testing and optimisation of CCTV systems
Support across access control and related equipment
Accurate completion of digital service reports
Participation in a structured callout rota with enhanced earnings
Ensuring safe working practices on all sitesWhat You'll Need

Experience working on at least three of: fire, emergency lighting, intruder, CCTV, access control
Strong fault‑finding skills
Knowledge of UK fire & security standards
Full UK driving licence
Electrical experienceDesirable: FIA training, ECS/CSCS, IPAF/PASMA.
