Fortus Recruitment are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the repairs & maintenance industry \n\nWe are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority.\n\nMy Client is currently looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer for a Permanent position to carry out work in domestic properties covering Bristol and surrounding areas.\n\nThe Fire Maintenance Engineer will deliver work across London and the Home Counties. The purpose of this role is to provide maintenance and servicing of life safety equipment, emergency light and smoke vent systems, in accordance with all current British & European standards, in accordance with BS5839 standards.\n\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nProvide day to day planned and reactive maintenance of contracts\nServicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems\nTo respond to emergency call-outs and carry out any remedial works as required\nCarry out asset verification\nInstall replacement/additional equipment\nTake part in the on-call rota\nConduct site surveys as required\nSupporting the development of apprentices\nTo always act in a professional and diligent manor, considering the need of the clients\nRequired Skills and experience:\n\nPrevious Fire Maintenance experience\nGood understanding of the British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266.\nFIA units (1,3,5)\nDriving Licence\nWorking Environment:\n\nThis is operational site-based position and involves collaborating closely with the support service team. While also engaging with our clients.
Expect a dynamic and fast paced work setting that combines on site work with on-going communication with office-based colleagues. The role requires proactive interaction and liaison with clients/customers, to ensure effective communication and first-class customer service.\n\nBenefits:\n\nBasic Salary £34 - £38k with opportunity for overtime and standby, leading to a realistic OTE of £50,000- £65,000\n25 days holiday plus statutory & day off on your birthday\nCompany Van with optional personal use\nAnnual performance related bonus.\nStandby and callout only required 1 night in 10\nCompany pension scheme\nProgression opportunities\nCommitment to training and development.
