The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fire protection systems and engineering principles, with expertise in system design, installation, and inspection. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler fittings. The Fire Engineer will work closely with construction teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement fire protection systems, including fire alarms and sprinkler systems.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to develop effective fire safety solutions.Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and regulations.Utilize CAD software for system design and layout of fire protection equipment.Provide field service support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems.Collaborate with contractors and clients to assess needs and provide technical guidance on fire safety measures.Maintain knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it pertains to low voltage systems.Perform testing and troubleshooting of sensors, alarms, and other fire protection devices.Use hand tools and power tools effectively during installation and maintenance tasks.QualificationsProven experience in fire protection engineering or a related field.Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools.Familiarity with construction processes and standards related to fire safety.Experience in alarm system sales or service technician roles is preferred.Must have experience in GENT and Siemans alrms systemsExcellent communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and team members.Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of fire engineering.
