Fire Alarm Engineer\n\nLocation: Birmingham\n\nCompetitive Salary + Bonus + Company Van + Full Benefits Package\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a well-established and growing fire safety specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to work in a field-based role with strong earning potential, fully funded training, and long-term career development.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems across a variety of premises. You will play a vital role in ensuring systems are fully operational and compliant with current safety regulations.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n * Installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems\n\n * Conducting inspections, testing, and fault finding\n\n * Diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently\n\n * Responding to emergency call-outs, including out-of-hours support\n\n * Managing daily schedules and planning service routes\n\n * Maintaining accurate documentation and service records\n\n * Managing stock, tools, and company vehicle\n\n * Delivering high levels of customer service and maintaining client relationships\n\n * Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and company procedures\n\nRequirements\n\n * Proven experience working with fire alarm systems\n\n * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills\n\n * Knowledge of fire safety standards and regulations (e.g.
BS5839)\n\n * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively\n\n * Excellent communication and customer service skills\n\n * Strong organisational and time management abilities\n\n * Full UK driving licence\n\nCertifications (Essential & Desirable):\n\n * FIA / NICEIC / SSAIB / NVQ training (essential)\n\n * ECS/CSCS card (advantageous)\n\n * IPAF certification (advantageous)\n\n * EAL Level 3 in BS5839 (Part 1 or 6) (advantageous)\n\n * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous)\n\n * Inspection & Testing qualifications (advantageous)\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Competitive basic salary\n\n * Performance bonus\n\n * Company van (including personal use)\n\n * Fuel card, tools, PPE, and mobile phone provided\n\n * Fully funded training and professional development\n\n * 40-hour working week (Monday to Friday)\n\n * Opportunity to work independently within a supportive team\n\n * Stable, long-term position in a growing organisation
