Job Description
Blair West are supporting LSL Estate Agency Franchising Division, to find a Financial / Senior Financial Accountant. This role sits within a well-established finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, and plays a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting across the division. The position has responsibility for supporting junior team members and contributes to both statutory and management reporting, making it a pivotal role within the finance function.
The opportunity:
- Producing accurate and timely management accounts in line with agreed reporting deadlines.
- Supporting the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts in accordance with internal and external requirements.
- Reviewing and reconciling balance sheets on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and control.
- Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and wider financial planning processes.
- Providing insightful financial analysis to support senior management decision-making.
- Enhancing internal and external reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Producing ad hoc financial reports to support business needs.
- Mentoring and developing junior members of the finance team.
- Supporting cross-functional projects across the wider business.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
- Qualified accountant status (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Proven experience in the preparation of statutory accounts.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and FRS 101 reporting standards.
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data.
- Experience working within a larger or corporate environment.
- Exposure to VAT returns and associated processes (desirable).
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to make sound business decisions.
