About the Role

Checkmate Fire Solutions is a leading UK provider of passive fire protection and compliance services, supporting clients across the built environment with safety, integrity, and technical expertise. As our FP&A Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making across the business. You will work closely with senior leadership, providing insight into financial performance, forecasting, and opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis

* Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets

* Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities

* Support business planning and strategic initiatives with data-driven insights

* Partner with operational teams to improve cost control and profitability

* Assist in cash flow forecasting and working capital management

* Produce KPI dashboards and performance metrics

* Support year-end processes and audit requirements

Requirements

* Proven experience in an FP&A, Finance Analyst, or similar role

* Strong financial modelling and analytical skills

* Advanced Excel skills (essential)

* Experience with accounting/ERP systems

* Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)

* Experience within construction, compliance, or service-based industries

* Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools
