Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join a large forward-thinking organisation for a 6 month contract working on a hybrid basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving improvements across financial reporting and processes, while supporting critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities include:

Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations (AR, AP, GL, inventory, fixed assets)

Prepare and deliver monthly and annual financial statements

Oversee treasury and cash management activities

Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes

Manage internal and external audit requirements

Oversee tax matters, including VAT

Supervise and support the financial reporting team

Identify areas for improvement and drive process enhancements

Support the Finance Director with ad hoc financial activities

About you:

You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and have:
Proven experience in financial accounting or similar roles

Experience reporting into a group structure

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

Experience with ERP systems (IFS preferred) and MS Office

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to analyse, challenge, and influence

Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions

Due to the nature of the business, background screening will be required.
