Financial Controller - FD DesignateLetchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire (Office based - 5 days per week)£60,000 - £65,000 per annumStormX Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing international business to recruit a Financial Controller - potential for an FD Designate role.This is a key hire for the organisation and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the finance function while supporting the business through its next phase of growth.Reporting to the Business Unit Directors and Group CFO, the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role within the organisation, taking responsibility for several group subsidiaries and helping to drive improvements across finance processes, reporting and controls.This is a hands-on and varied role, suited to someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and has the ability to combine strong technical accounting skills with process improvement and commercial insight.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee finance and administration functions across a number of international group subsidiaries.Manage purchase orders through the company ERP systemRecord and post supplier invoices into Sage Line 50 and Xero, reconciling to ERP systemsReconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queriesManage supplier payment runs and multicurrency transactionsProcess expenses, petty cash and company credit card reconciliationsRaise and manage sales invoices and credit control activitiesPrepare and submit VAT returnsMonitor and manage cash flow, including cash forecasting across the groupPrepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and stock adjustmentsDevelop financial KPIs and reporting frameworks across the groupSupport budget preparation and financial planningProduce ad hoc financial reporting to support decision makingMaintain financial controls and ensure audit readiness in line with regulatory and client requirementsIdentify and implement improvements to finance processes and systemsInitially, the role will include some hands-on transactional work, with plans to recruit additional finance support as the function grows.Skills & ExperienceStrong experience using Sage Line 50, Xero and ERP systemsExperience taking ownership of a finance function or operating in a senior finance roleExperience working with multicurrency transactionsProven ability to improve finance processes and systemsStrong Excel and financial reporting skillsExperience supporting multi-entity or international businesses is advantageousPersonal AttributesHighly organised with strong attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to manage workload independentlyStrong communication skills and ability to work closely with senior stakeholdersA hands-on approach with the drive to improve systems and processesComfortable operating in a growing and evolving business environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
