Financial Controller / Finance Manager, £45,0000-£50,000, TockwithAn established and growing manufacturing business based in Tockwith is seeking an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager to play a key role in its continued success.This is an excellent opportunity to join the company at an exciting stage of growth, with plans to expand headcount and move to a larger facility. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the finance function, lead the finance team, and report directly to the Board of Directors.This is a fully office-based role with on-site parking available.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all financial activities across the businessManage sales applications, invoicing, credit control, and retentionsApprove and schedule payment runs in line with cash flowComplete monthly VAT returnsMonitor and manage cash flow against budgetAnalyse and post credit card transactionsPerform bank reconciliations and authorise paymentsManage online banking transactionsPrepare monthly management accounts, including consolidations and WIP reviewLead annual accounts preparation and liaise with auditorsAttend Board meetings to present and discuss financial performanceOversee corporation tax paymentsManage Directors salaries and monthly PAYESet up and manage hire purchase (HP) agreementsReview vehicle finance, utilities contracts and compliance (e.g. MOTs)RequirementsAn understanding of work in progress (WIP), applications for payment and retentionsExperience of the construction or manufacturing or similar sectors is desirableProven experience in a Financial Controller or Finance Manager roleSolid knowledge of accounting principles and financial managementProficiency in accounting software, particularly XeroStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProfessional qualification (FCA, ACCA, or CIMA) preferred, though part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates will be consideredJBRP1_UKTJ
