We have big plans ahead and are looking to expand our Finance team to help us scale through our next stage of growth. The Role: The Financial Controller will be integral in shaping and ensuring the day to day running of Encord's finance function and will play a critical role in supporting the company's rapid scale‑up, ensuring financial rigour and helping to establish a robust and future‑proof finance function. This is a broad and hands‑on role that covers technical accounting, global financial reporting, process improvement, and compliance. Key Responsibilities
Support the Finance and Operations Manager in scaling and professionalising the finance function Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, including international entities and multi‑currency transactions Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, local tax regulations, and internal controls Lead the development and implementation of financial systems, processes, and automation tools Collaborate cross‑functionally with other departments (e.g. Product, Growth, Operations) to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy Support investor reporting, audits, and due diligence for future funding rounds or potential exit strategies Act as a key business partner, providing data‑driven insights to inform commercial decisions
About you
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) Strong post‑qualification experience in a scale‑up or high‑growth tech/SaaS business Experience managing or supporting international finance operations and consolidation Solid understanding of technical accounting and compliance across jurisdictions Proven track record of improving and modernising finance processesComfortable working in a fast‑paced, ever‑evolving environment Strong leadership and communication skills, with a hands‑on and proactive approach
