Key Requirements

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
Experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and external audit
Strong knowledge of financial controls, accounting standards, and tax (VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE/NI)
Skilled in financial reporting, analysis, and Excel
Ability to manage budgets and support financial decision‑making
Experience with financial systems; Not‑for‑Profit experience helpful
High attention to detail, strong organisation, and problem‑solving skills
Effective communicator and team collaborator
Proactive, adaptable, and committed to ongoing development
Professional approach with commitment to equality, inclusion, and safeguarding

Key Responsibilities

Prepare statutory financial statements and reports
Lead the external audit process and manage auditor relationships
Produce balance‑sheet reporting and support budgeting and forecasting
Conduct financial analysis to inform decisions
Oversee financial transactions, reconciliations, and controls
Approve key finance activities and support process improvements
Complete statutory and regulatory filings, including VAT
Provide financial insights and reports to internal teams and committees
Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors and financial institutions
Support senior finance leadership when required
Contribute to finance projects and improvements
Provide guidance to colleagues on financial processes
Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, and professional standards.
