FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT- 3 MONTH FTC - CAMBRIDGE HEATH - £55k - 60k - STRONG POTENTIAL TO GO PERM
Robert Half are delighted to be assisting an exciting client with their search for a full-time Financial Accountant, for a 3 month FTC, with a strong potential to go permanent, offering up to £60k!
Things to know:
Job Title: Financial Accountant
Contract length: 3 months FTC (strong potential to go permanent)
Location: Cambridge Heath (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH) - expect to be in the office more at the start of the contract
Salary: £55k - £60k, dependent on experience
Responsibilities:
Lead the 2025 Group Audit from planning to completion, managing auditors and resolving queries efficiently.
Prepare clear technical accounting papers and ensure all audit deliverables are met on time.
Take ownership of balance sheet integrity across all entities.
Review and post key journals.
Oversee fixed assets, leases, loans and intercompany accounting.
Monitor FX and support AP where needed.
Improve month-end processes and strengthen financial controls.
Apply strong knowledge of IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
Manage capex and maintain the fixed asset register (additions, disposals, transfers).
Handle lease accounting, intangibles and system reconciliations.
Manage revenue recognition in complex, project-based environments.
Coordinate statutory and tax compliance across the UK, Australia, Japan, US, France and KSA.
Oversee VAT/GST/Sales Tax and Corporate Tax filings.
Work with local advisors to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
Use NetSuite effectively (highly desirable).
Enhance reporting accuracy and balance sheet transparency.
Support ad hoc finance projects in a fast-paced, international environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must be immediately available.
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
Practice-trained.
Hands on, team player attitude.
IFRS 15, 16 and/or 17 experience.
Group audit experience.
