Financial Accountant – North Yorkshire

MacGregor Black are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in North Yorkshire to recruit a Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part- or fully-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) looking to broaden their experience in a fast-paced operational finance environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior site finance leadership, helping to maintain robust financial controls, support month-end reporting, and drive continuous improvement across financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting
• Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls
• Analyse overhead costs and expenditure, working with budget holders to explain variances
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Oversee cash and transactional processes ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Manage and support junior finance team members
• Own elements of the capital expenditure process, including spend tracking and capitalisation
• Support grant and funding reporting as required
• Provide input into weekly performance reporting and operational finance tasks
• Deputise for senior site finance leadership as needed

Candidate Profile:

• Part- or fully-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
• Experience in finance or accounting, ideally in manufacturing or operations
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience is advantageous
• Strong organisational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams
