We are pleased to be working with a large, well-known public-sector organisation in their search for a Finance Officer. This role supports the delivery of effective financial management by assisting with budget preparation, monitoring financial risks, supporting efficiency and recovery planning, improving financial reporting systems, and responding to queries from senior staff to ensure informed decision-making and financial stability. The role: Liaise with senior staff to support their understanding of budgets and address related queries. Assist in preparing annual budgets in line with financial strategies and timelines. Support the development of efficiency, recovery, and contingency plans within the directorate. Help identify financial risks and contribute to corrective actions to maintain financial stability. Assist in improving financial systems, reporting tools, and processes for better efficiency. Handle ad hoc financial reporting and queries from senior finance and management staff. Collaborate with finance leadership to ensure effective financial management and decision-making.
