Finatal are partnered with a high-growth, private equity-backed IT services business (c.£65m turnover) seeking a Finance Manager to support the Group Financial Controller and lead a small team of two. This is a fast-paced, data-driven environment with strong investor visibility.


The Role:

You will own core financial reporting, revenue recognition, contract accounting and key performance reporting across the business. Working closely with operations, delivery and commercial teams, you will ensure robust controls, accurate recurring revenue reporting and clear visibility over contract profitability and utilisation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead revenue recognition and contract accounting (managed services, projects, recurring revenue) in line with IFRS 15.
  • Deliver accurate monthly reporting, KPIs and board-level insights for senior leadership and PE investors.
  • Manage MRR/ARR reporting, contract profitability, utilisation and delivery performance metrics.
  • Strengthen financial controls, processes and systems to support scale and PE expectations.
  • Manage and develop two direct reports (AP/AR, payroll, compliance, etc)
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, audit and ad-hoc investor analysis.

  • About You:

    • ACA-qualified with a Big 4 background – essential.
    • Must already have experience working in a private equity-backed business – essential.
    • Strong technical accounting skills with exposure to revenue/contract accounting in a services or tech environment.
    • Highly analytical, commercial, hands-on and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, change-oriented setting.
