This is a key role within the organisation, with responsibility for overseeing the charity's day-to-day financial position and promotions whilst supporting its mission through strong financial stewardship.Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead and develop the finance and promotions team, ensuring the delivery of robust financial reporting and clear, timely communication around budgeting and financial performance. You will play a pivotal role in the preparation of high-quality management information, presenting insightful management information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across the charity and its subsidiaries.This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to combine technical expertise with purpose, influence, and leadership within a values-led organisation.
Typical duties include:
Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, including presentation to departmental managers
Leading the finance team to deliver a professional finance service
Business partner with managers, providing expert, professional advice and coaching on departmental accounts and financial matters
Checking prepared monthly payroll submissions
Processing VAT submission for subsidiary companies
Developing annual budget and periodic forecasts
Support / Lead on financial and commercial aspects of projects throughout the business
Cashflow forecasting and analysis
Daily bank reconciliations
Ad hoc reporting requirements from the Finance Director
We are looking for a technical Finance Manager who is forward-thinking, with a commercial mindset and good business partnering skills to be able to communicate with non-financial team members. This role will suit a Finance Manager that truly wants to make a difference within a purposeful and values-led organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
Qualified to AAT level 4 min
Experience with transactional finance, month-end processes, budgeting and financial controls
Commercial acumen
Excellent communicator & good presentation skills
Strong business partnering and influencing skills
Previous line management experience

What you'll get in return
Salary £46,714 per annum
Full-time permanent role Monday to Friday 37.5 hours, flexibility with start and finish times
