ISBA’s strength lies in its membership. The activities of our dedicated team are shaped by our governing bodies, which include our Council and Executive Committee, populated by senior representatives from ISBA member companies.
Reporting to the Finance Director, in this varied Finance Manager role the main responsibilities will include:
* Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, processing payments and maintaining direct debits and standing orders.
* Manage petty cash and staff expense processing, including reconciling company and personal credit card transactions
* Set up and maintain supplier records, process supplier payments and reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Raise sales invoices and credit notes for: member subscriptions, training workshops, Events and conference, reconcile customer receipts from bank, credit card, and online platforms
* Prepare and submit monthly payroll instructions to the bureau, post payroll journals and reconcile salary control accounts and maintain monthly and annual payroll analysis
* Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and reconcile control accounts
* Fixed Assets - maintain the fixed asset register and reconcile fixed asset balances to the nominal ledger
* Prepare quarterly accruals and prepayments and post journals, complete year‑end routines and post‑audit adjustments
* Produce financial analysis for income streams and assist with preparation of quarterly management accounts
The successful candidate will be an experienced or part-qualified accountant who is methodical, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of financial transaction and records. You must possess significant experience in a similar ‘hands-on’ finance role within a similar sized organisation and have experience across all the day-to-day financial operations and core accounting activities, including supporting accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and strong financial controls.
You must have first class communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain strong working relationships across key internal and external stakeholders, across the organisation.
