ABPM are supporting a niche and well-established SME manufacturing client to recruit a Finance Manager. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, they will focus on ensuring accurate and timely management reporting and providing information to assist business decisions. The successful individual will be a qualified accountant (or close to completing their final exams) who can use their professional knowledge and experience to add value through detailed analysis.

An insight into your responsibilities:

    \n\t
  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • \n\t
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded, reported, reviewed, and reconciled.
  • \n\t
  • Produce rolling cashflow forecasting.
  • \n\t
  • Provide financial analysis for decision making.
  • \n\t
  • Production of sales invoices for UK and overseas, including foreign rates and VAT.
  • \n\t
  • Ensure VAT is accounted for correctly on all transactions.
  • \n\t
  • Assist to develop budgets and forecasts.
  • \n\t
  • Continuously seek improvements for accounts and reporting.
  • \n\t
  • Compliance with regulations and legislations throughout.
  • \n\t
  • Support the annual audit, with the production of year end accounts and annual stocktake.
  • \n

Do you have the knowledge and experience?

\n\n
    \n\t
  • ACA / ACCA / ACMA / or studying and close to completion.
  • \n\t
  • Sector experience within Manufacturing, Engineering or Construction.
  • \n\t
  • IT literate with advanced Excel skills. ERP/MRP knowledge would be desirable.
  • \n\t
  • Foreign currency skills would be an advantage but not essential.
  • \n
