An excellent opportunity has become available to join a growing, fast-paced food trading business that places strong emphasis on team culture, structure and continuous improvement.This role is primarily finance-led, taking ownership of credit control, cashflow and financial performance, while also supporting operational processes across the business.Working closely with the Director, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take real ownership of the role and play a key part in the ongoing growth of the business.What we need from you:Experience in a finance, credit control or business management roleStrong understanding of credit control and debt collectionConfident managing cashflow and monitoring aged debtHighly organised with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectivelyStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage and support a small teamA proactive approach with the ability to take ownershipDesirable but not essential:Experience within a fast-paced, transactional businessExposure to operations, logistics or supply chainFamiliar with CRM systems (Monday CRM preferred)Experience using Xero accounting softwareExperience with automation tools (Make, Zapier etc.)Food or meat industry knowledgeWhat the role involves:Managing credit control processes and improving cash collectionMonitoring aged debt and ensuring timely customer paymentsSupporting cashflow management and supplier paymentsOverseeing the logistics and order team to ensure smooth delivery and order processingTracking margins and supporting business performance reportingOverseeing order flow from purchase through to deliverySupporting logistics to ensure deliveries are on time and within budgetMaintaining and improving internal systems, including CRM accuracyIdentifying and implementing process improvementsManaging and supporting the operations and accounts teamResolving issues quickly and maintaining high service levelsSalary: £30,000 - £37,500 per year, depending on experience.Hours: Monday to Friday 9am 5pm, 37.5 hours per week.
