An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join the finance team at a UK university during a period of continued strategic development.

This role will work closely with senior academic and professional services colleagues, providing high-quality financial insight, challenge and support to Faculties and/or Professional Services areas. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, helping to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the University.

Key responsibilities include:

Acting as a trusted finance partner to Deans, Heads of School and senior stakeholders

Leading budgeting, forecasting and medium-term financial planning for your areas

Producing and interpreting management accounts and financial reports

Supporting TRAC, FEC and research costing activity where required

Contributing to business cases, investment appraisals and strategic initiatives

About you:

Qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) or qualified by experience

Experience in management accounting or finance business partnering, ideally within the HE or public sector

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Able to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight
