Finance Business Analyst - Finance Transformation Global Banking Organisation 9 month contract, £650 per day inside IR35 London based, 3 days in the office. About the Rol e We’re working with a leading global banking organisation to hire an experienced Finance Transformation Business Analyst to support key regulatory reporting automation initiatives. This role sits within a high‑profile Finance Transformation programme, focused on automating critical submissions to UK and international regulators. You’ll play a key role in improving data integrity, reducing manual processes, and delivering scalable, audit‑ready reporting solutions across complex finance and data environments. Will suit seasoned Business Analysts that have worked on finance transformation and reporting projects from end to end within the Banking sector. Key Responsibilities Finance Transformation:
Lead business and data analysis across regulatory reporting automation initiatives (e.g. PRA / international regulators) Map, validate, and reconcile multi-source financial data, defining clear data lineage and transformation logic Gather and document business and functional requirements (BRDs/FRDs) across finance and reporting domains Partner with Finance and Technology teams to design and deliver scalable, compliant reporting solutions Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement across Finance, Data, and Technology teams Define and execute testing strategies, including system, integration, and UAT phases Identify and manage risks and issues related to data quality, regulatory logic, and automation processes Drive control enhancements, reducing manual intervention and improving auditability
Key Skills & Experience Finance Transformation:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a global bank or consultancy Strong understanding of regulatory and financial reporting, including controls and reconciliations Experience delivering reporting automation and data transformation initiatives Reporting projects highly advantageous e.g. IFRS, UK GAAP, PRA, COREP, SEC, FINREP, etc. Strong data analysis capability, particularly across complex datasets Technical capability across excel, access and SQL preferred Good understanding of financial products (e.g. lending, derivatives, fixed income) Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience across the full project lifecycle, from requirements through to delivery
