We’re working alongside a leading specialist Court of Protection and Private Client law firm, seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their busy Accounts Team. This role will suit someone with strong organisational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage high volumes of documentation accurately.


Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting documentation, maintaining detailed records of staff banking access and approval limits
  • Preparing and submitting template forms and letters for financial institutions to open/close bank accounts
  • Sending correspondence to financial institutions and liaising by telephone to resolve issues or queries
  • Maintaining lists of bank accounts, debit cards, and related information via spreadsheets
  • Entering new beneficiaries to online banking software
  • File closing and archiving using the SOS Accounts system
  • Filing and assisting with general accounts paperwork
  • Reviewing and promptly actioning emails from the Finance Inbox assigned to the role
  • Other tasks as requested


Over time, the role may develop to include:

  • Posting financial transactions to ledgers including disbursements and bills
  • Raising recurring payments for deputyship clients
  • Completing expenses and supplier payment runs


What we need from you:

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage large volumes of documentation
  • Keen attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work within a team
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Numeracy skills
  • Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Previous experience in a law firm is preferable but not essential
