Field Service Engineer – Food Production Equipment

Are you a technically skilled, customer-focused engineer looking for a role with variety and autonomy? This opportunity involves field-based service work across food production equipment, supporting customers with installation, maintenance, repair, and training.


What You’ll Do

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality support across a range of equipment and technology, including:

  • Servicing and installing food production machinery (e.g., slicers, mincers, packaging-related equipment) and associated software
  • Carrying out repairs on retail scales where required
  • Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and network-related faults
  • Delivering training to customers on equipment use and maintenance
  • Managing spare-parts stock effectively to support efficient repairs
  • Maintaining a professional approach when working directly with customers
  • Keeping your company vehicle, tools, and equipment (e.g., hand tools, laptops, ladders) in excellent condition
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety and quality-related procedures are followed
  • Maintaining calibrated weights and meeting legal standards during calibration and verification
  • Completing detailed reports, documentation, and administrative tasks to required standards
  • Attending relevant training and keeping all certifications up to date
  • Participating in out-of-hours work, overnight stays, rollout activities, or refits when needed
  • Visiting head office and supporting ad-hoc tasks as required by management
