We are currently working with a leading organisation within the power distribution sector to recruit a skilled Field Service Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working on-site, delivering high-quality service, and being part of a dynamic and growing team.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of high voltage equipment across various customer sites. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a field-based environment and is comfortable travelling as part of their role.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out installation, commissioning, and servicing of high voltage equipment Perform routine maintenance and emergency fault finding on customer sites Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimise downtime Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and industry regulations Provide technical support and guidance to clients when required Complete detailed service reports and documentation The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience working with high voltage equipment (essential) Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently on-site and manage workload effectively Full UK driving licence Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic Comfortable working in a field-based role Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach Flexible and adaptable to varying site requirements This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable business offering long-term career development and the chance to work on critical infrastructure projects within the power distribution industry
