Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

We're looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to join our fantastic client's team in Bury St Edmunds, supporting the installation, servicing, and repair of machinery.

This is a field-based role working directly with customers to deliver technical support, training, and maintenance. The position includes regular UK travel and occasional overseas trips (some up to two weeks).

Key Responsibilities:

Install, service, and maintain machinery at customer sites.
Provide operator training and ongoing technical support.
Troubleshoot issues both on-site and remotely.
Accurately complete service reports and documentation.
Participate in a call-out rota for emergency support.
Coordinate with customers and internal teams to plan service visits.
Be available for weekend callouts and emergency phone support on a rota (1 in 5 weeks)
Skills & Experience Required:

Qualified (or with equivalent hands-on experience) in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and field service work.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Willing and able to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas (including trips of up to two weeks).
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to continue developing technical knowledge and skills.
