Field Service Engineer (Print Finishing Equipment)\n\nNorthern based with UK travel\n\nUp to £45k plus package incl. company vehicle\n\nWe’re working with a long-established and highly respected supplier of print finishing technology, representing some of the world’s leading manufacturers across the UK & Ireland. To support continued growth, the business is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join their growing team.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded, customer-focused engineer who thrives in a varied role - combining hands-on servicing, installations, operator training, and customer demonstrations.\n\nThe ideal candidate for this role will be based close to the motorway network, for ease of travel.\n\nThe Role\n\nInstall, service, maintain and repair print finishing equipment across customer sites\nProvide operator training and demonstrations to support sales activities\nTroubleshoot technical issues, diagnose faults, and deliver solutions efficiently\nRepresent the company with professionalism, acting as a trusted ambassador on-site\nFlexibility to travel across the UK (occasional overnight stays required). \n\nThe Person\n\nMechanical or electrical engineering background (qualified or with equivalent hands-on experience, from the print industry or other transferable background)\nPrevious experience working with print finishing machinery as an engineer (binding, stitching, folding, laminating, guillotines etc.) highly desirable\nStrong troubleshooting skills and IT literacy\nA customer-first mindset with excellent communication skills\nFull, clean UK driving licence\nIdeally located within reasonable distance of the motorway network (M60, M1, M6, M61). \n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nIndustry competitive salary to be discussed, plus performance-related incentives and overtime\nCompany vehicle and expenses\n23 days holidays bank holidays (increasing by 1 day per year up to 26)\n4% employer pension contribution\nLong-term employee ownership benefits after the first year. \n\nOpportunity to represent market-leading finishing solutions within a growing organisation
