The company designs and manufactures their own parking technology in the UK, including:Ticket kiosks and payment terminalsBarrier and access control systemsANPR/CCTV camera technologyEmbedded PCs, printers, touchscreens, and industrial switchesFull product training is provided, making this a strong step for engineers from CCTV, alarms, ticketing, vending, or car park equipment backgrounds who want to develop in a specialist, future-focused industry.The RoleAs a Field Service Engineer, you will:Carry out repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance on parking and access control systemsWork on a range of hardware including cameras, kiosks, barriers, PCs, printers, touchscreens, and Moxa switchesDiagnose electrical, mechanical, and software-related faultsInstall, terminate, and test cablingWork safely around power supplies and low-voltage systemsSupport installation and upgrade projects when requiredManage your own workload independently across EssexDeliver a professional, customer-focused service at all timesField Service Engineer Experience RequiredYou must have experience in a field-based service or maintenance role involving hands-on work with electromechanical or low-voltage systems, ideally including:CCTV or ANPR systemsAlarm or security systemsTicketing or vending machinesCar park equipment (barriers, pay stations, access control)Intercom or access systemsPC-based or software-driven hardwareCabling, terminating, and basic electrical workNote: Pure IT/networking or ATM-only backgrounds are not the right fit for this role.Field Service Engineer Skills & CompetenciesConfident working with hardware, cabling, and low-voltage electrical systemsAbility to diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical, and software componentsComfortable working around power suppliesAble to read wiring diagrams and technical documentationStrong customer service and communication skillsSelf-motivated and comfortable working independentlyFull UK driving licenceField Service Engineer Desirable QualificationsECS card, 18th Edition, PAT testing, or similar electrical qualificationNetworking fundamentals (CompTIA, Cisco, HND etc.)Experience with industrial switches (e.g., Moxa)If youre a hands-on Field Service Engineer with experience in CCTV, alarms, ticketing, vending, or car park systems and want to join a growing UK manufacturer, apply with your latest CV and Ill be in touch to discuss the next steps.Dom @ Utilise Recruitment .co .ukJBRP1_UKTJ
