Job Description

The client is a leading provider of industrial weighing and measurement solutions, they are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their UK service team. This is a hands-on, autonomous role ideal for engineers who enjoy problem-solving, travel, and working with advanced calibration technology.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\n * Calibrate, commission and troubleshoot a range of process weighing systems using F1/M1 test weights, flow meters, and force rigs\n\n * Install and commission belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems\n\n * Calibrate instrumentation including temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength\n\n * Perform repairs of scales and balances at HQ when required\n\n * Complete service reports and calibration certificates to a high standard\n\n * Work safely in line with the clients HSE policies\n\n * Support weekend cover (1 in 3 Saturdays) and occasional overnight travel\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nEssential:\n\n * ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC )\n\n * Time-served engineer or relevant field service background\n\n * Hands-on experience with weighing or industrial instrumentation\n\n * Confident working independently and under pressure\n\n * Willingness to travel throughout the UK although most work is around Reading and Milton Kynes\n\n * Full UK driving licence\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Temperature calibration experience\n\n * Exposure to food hygiene or manufacturing environments\n\n * Knowledge of scales used in silos, platforms, and industrial control systems\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * £35,900-£39,900 basic, with OT an extra £12-£20k plus is achievable\n\n * Up to 60hrs overtime per month\n\n * Overnight allowances etc\n\n * Company vehicle, tools, and equipment\n\n * Full training on advanced calibration technologies\n\n * Genuine technical development pathway\n\n * Supportive engineering team and safety-first culture\n\n * Varied, travel-based field work with autonomy
