Job Description
Field Service Engine Technician\nUp to £43,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits\nSouth East – Northampton, Milton Keynes, Luton and Cambridge\n\nSCINERGY are recruiting for a Field Service Engine Technician to support the maintenance and repair of engine-powered equipment across multiple operational sites in the South East region such as Northampton, Milton Keynes, Cambridge and Luton.\n\nThe client is a major player in the Power and Green Energy sector. This role involves working independently on a range of power driven equipment, ensuring all machinery operates safely, reliably and efficiently.\n\nFull training will be provided for candidates with engine maintenance, repair or overhaul experience.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n · Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on PowerGen engines\n· Perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on engine-driven equipment\n· Conduct engine performance testing and tuning where required\n· Attend breakdowns on an on call rota\n· Maintain accurate service, inspection and repair documentation\n· Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental standards\n· Travel between sites, working independently and managing your own workload\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n· Strong background in engine maintenance - diesel plant, small engines, HGV engines, generators, power units or similar\n· NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Mechanics, Engine Maintenance, Plant Engineering or similar\n· Confident with diagnostics, fault-finding and hands-on mechanical repairs\n· Full UK driving licence\n· Self-motivated, reliable and safety-focused with strong problem-solving skills\n· Full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n· £38,000 – £43,000 basic salary\n· Company bonus\n· Full time, permanent position\n· Company van, tools, uniform and PPE provide\n· Ongoing technical training and development\n· Pension and employee benefits\n· Long-term career prospects with a organisation
