Your Role as a Field Service and Calibration Engineer
You'll be field based, covering the UK with very occasional international travel. You will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and repair a range of metallurgy and measurement systems, including Hardness Testing, scales, measures and others. You will be working within a variety of appealing manufacturing sectors including the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries, amongst others. You will play an important role in ensuring the equipment is correctly calibrated and always maintained to ISO/IEC 17025 and ASTM standards. Compile detailed reports as appropriate. Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. The field-based nature of the role will require nights away from home; on average of 1 - 2 per week.Ideal Background for the Field Service and Calibration Engineer Position
You'll need experience in the calibration of lab-based equipment. Either as a current service engineer, or as somebody using the machinery in a lab. A strong engineering understanding is essential in mechanical and electrical disciplines. Approachable, honest, and a team player. Strong IT and communication skills. £33,000 - £38,000 basic salary, depending on experience. Annual company performance related bonus. Pension at 5% from company, 3% employee. Company vehicle, tools, laptop & phone.
