Job Description

The Company\n\nA market-leading manufacturer is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to join their team. This role will be responsible for growing and managing sales within a defined territory (Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex), with a focus on both expanding existing business and developing new opportunities. The position involves driving solution- and value-based selling while positioning the company as a trusted solutions provider.\n\nThe Role\n\n * Manage and develop accounts, ensuring strong engagement and long-term growth.\n\n * Prospect, qualify, and convert new business opportunities.\n\n * Apply consultative, value-based sales approaches to demonstrate the company’s premium offering.\n\n * Maintain accurate customer records and activity reports via CRM (HubSpot).\n\n * Collaborate with the wider sales team, leveraging expertise to secure opportunities.\n\n * Continuously develop product knowledge, technical expertise, and market awareness.\n\n * Represent the company as a market leader and trusted solutions partner.\n\nThis role requires regular travel across East Anglia.\n\nThe Candidate\n\nBachelor ’s degree in mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering (or equivalent).\n\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical sales environment.\n\nStrong technical background essential; experience in the defence sector advantageous but not required.\n\nCustomer -focused, with strong relationship-building skills.\n\nAble to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\nValid UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK indefinitely.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications.\n\nThe Package\n\n£40,000–£45,000 base salary (depending on experience).\n\nCompany car.\n\nBonus scheme
