Field Maintenance Engineer – Covering Norfolk and surrounding areas
Basic Salary c£40,000 depending on experience, plus van, call out allowance, Tablet/iPad, holidays, pension and benefits.
You will also have the opportunity to attend further training courses for your personal development; candidates will ideally hold a CSCS card or similar and MUST hold a Full UK Driving Licence
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as a Field Maintenance Engineer working for a highly credible fire protection company.
As a Field Maintenance Engineer, you will be qualified to at least Level 3 and ideally hold 18th Edition and able to demonstrate good technical knowledge with experience of water mist and fire suppression systems and the wider fire prevention sector Or experience of working in a similar field engineering role. As a Field Maintenance Engineer, this role requires technical competence and awareness required to pass manufacturer courses on the equipment to be maintained and repaired OR have relevant technical qualifications for work being performed.
Aa this is a client-facing role, it requires a consistently professional attitude with onsite customers.
Duties
* Have good overall planning skills and ensure that you have all the required equipment and service kits to conduct the assigned work is on works van and for liaising with the office for additional supplies where necessary.
* Performing all maintenance and repair work thoroughly, in a safe manner, and in accordance with all laid down service instructions.
* Ensuring system items removed from customer premises are labelled as necessary to identify the part and issue and returned to the office.
* Ensure all paperwork is fully completed whether in hard copy or required to be completed via an issued tablet/iPad,
* Ensure all call-outs are promptly reported to the office and addressed in a timely manner.
* Ensure the company vehicle is maintained and in a good condition at all times.
* Ensure all work equipment is maintained, including Ladder checks and tags, PAT testing, Calibrations, and associated pre-use checks.
* receipts and any other paperwork which may be required by the finance dept.
* Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
* Respond to emails, text messages or phone calls and ensuring relevant information is passed on quickly.
* Ensure any workshop equipment you use, you are individually trained and authorised to use and ensuring that all correct PPE is worn when operating equipment.
* Ensuring that other staff are informed of any hazards while equipment is being operated and for performing pre-use equipment checks.
* Contact the relevant stores person of all stock items that have been taken and for what purpose.
* Adhere to Health, Safety and Quality policies, procedures at all times onsite.
* Ensure head office are notified without delay of any incidents, near misses or H&S concerns
